A graduate from Holling’s College, Manchester (1966) and Durham University Business School (1975), Malcolm joined Trust Houses as a management trainee. He managed five of their hotels in twelve years. The last of these was The Randolph, Oxford, which he left in 1978 to become an Area Manager with Swallow Hotels. He became a director two years later and was responsible for Hotel Operations throughout England, until he resigned in May 1996 for personal reasons. He joined the AA. Hotel Appointments Team in October 2000. Malcolm was ordained priest in 2010 holds a Licence for the diocese of Leeds and Sheffield in the Church of England.
